In today’s (chronological) Bible reading… Nehemiah 11-13; Psalm 126… we celebrate the renewal only God can bring. And what a blessing those times of refreshing are!
The Old Testament was drawing to a close. The exiled people had returned to the city of Jerusalem; the temple had been rebuilt and the walls were now intact. From where they were to where they now are, it must have seemed like a dream. In fact, it was such a dramatic turnaround, even the surrounding nations had to admit God is great!
But, God wasn’t finished. He wanted to do something more. God ALWAYS wants to do something more.
He wants to make us rivers of blessing… like the dry desert places that became rushing, flooding waters in the rainy season.
If God sends you “showers of blessings”, pass those blessings on to someone else.
