In today’s (chronological) Bible reading… Hebrews 9-12… we close out the book of Hebrews.  Chapter 11 is sometimes called “The Hall of Faith” chapter; it opens with a definition of what faith is, and looks at many Old Testament examples of faith.

Do you want to please God?  Chapter 11 tells you how… the key is faith!  Faith isn’t some kind of mystical, mysterious, hard-to-understand, hope or dream.  Faith is a person’s simple answer to the fact God is.

Faith is walking with God, just as Enoch did.  Faith is trusting God, just as so many listed in this chapter did.  Faith is being obedient to God, just as so many listed in this chapter were.

Faith requires every action and attitude consider God and His character.  Faith is the pursuit of God… and walking with God.  Faith is learning, loving, enjoying, and expecting God to be who He is.
