In today’s (chronological) Bible reading… 1John; 2John; 3John… we read 3 short letters written by the apostle John.  They are great for all to read, but I often recommend them for new Christians.

John points out the basics of Christian faith and practice… and does it all in the context of love.  He uses words like “remain”, “walk”, “light”, “confess”, “love”, and “know”, and he constantly points to the Father, Son, and Spirit.  Also, watch for contrasts… like light and dark, life and death, truth and lies, loving and hating.

As you read these 3 short letters, check to see if the life you’re living in Christ matches what John described.
