I happened upon your blog looking for hymns that were either written or popular beginning in the 40’s. The church I attend, Clavary Baptist in Little Rock, is celebrating it’s 80th anniversary this year. I thought it would be good to find hymns to represent part of our history. I found your posts that not only included information about hymns, but also covered many other historical facts. However, I only found posts through the 80’s. Do you plan or have other posts that cover the 90’s beyond that you would be willing to share?
BTW-I read some of your other entires and I particularly liked the 46 reasons to love snow.
Becky, I’m sorry… but I only added a few choruses that went beyond 1990. I was listing many of the hymns and choruses I have sung throughout my life; one for each day of the year. And, while our church sings many choruses and praise songs that have been written in the years since 1990, there are too many. And, since there are so many, it doesn’t seem we stay with a few long enough to make them memorable enough or impactful enough to rank them among the foundation church songs we’ve sung through the years. Thanks for reading!
Thanks for your quick response. Looking forward to reading more from you.
Thank you very much for these thought provoking articles about Moses and the Exodus. God bless you.
